Spring has arrived and so has Beans, Books &
Barks dog friendly patio !! A perfect way to
spend springtime in Arizona is outside (wearing
sunscreen) relaxing, enjoying the company of
friends – two legged and four legged !!! The
best place to combine these pleasures is at 4030

Beans, Books & Barks Patio Grand Opening Event
is to be held on April 5th at 8:30.
Councilwoman and Vice Mayor Peggy Neely will be
cutting the ribbon to begin the fun activities
of the day. There will be games for the dogs,
drink specials for the people, vendors and
different animal rescue organizations
represented.
Beans, Books & Barks opened in September of 2007
and has quickly become a community coffeehouse
where friends come to meet and greet. They come
to discover a treasure on the bookshelves or to
spend some quiet time with their “best friend”…
Cody or Macy or Justice or Hope and Cosmo, just
to name of few of the four legged regulars.
Beans, Books & Barks offers handcrafted espresso
drinks, teas, smoothies, apple cider, hot
chocolate and steamers…. All are made to order
and can be served hot or cold. B3 also serves
delicious pastries and delicious lunch wraps and
gourmet salads.
Beans, Books & Barks is an independent
coffeehouse owned by Marilee Cole and Ronnie
Marquez. Both women are strong supporters of
Animal Rescue and each quarter a different
rescue organization is chosen to be the
recipient of the “donation jar” where all tips
“go to the dogs”, as our main “barkista”, Kelly,
likes to say with pride !! The first quarter
our patrons raised over $1,500.00 for AZ Border
Collie Rescue and the first quarter in 2008 is
AZ Cactus Corgis with the second quarter
designated Arizona Golden Retriever Connection.
Beans, Books & Barks also hosts many different
fun events from book signings, disc dog
demonstrations, holiday pet photos, art shows…..
