Maui

Life's A Beach

Rescued        February 2006

Adopted         March 2006

Maui was a one year old stray Golden Retriever at the shelter who was scheduled to be euthanized because he developed a treatable condition called Kennel cough. Arizona Golden Retriever Connection rescued him and he was put into foster care until he was healthy.  He quickly came around and was ready to find his new forever family. His future family met Maui and felt in love. Maui went to their house to meet Neiman, their other dog and Butterscotch their cat. By the first night Maui and Butterscotch were sleeping on the bed together and there was no problem with Neiman. Maui now had two young boys to play with and a family that thought he was the best dog ever.

Besides Maui’s love for his family, he loves water and tennis balls. Maui soon became part of a family tradition: a Dog Beach trip to San Diego every year.  In Maui’s world things could not get any better. Life was truly a beach.

Today Maui is still living the carefree life of a beach bum Golden Retriever.
