sky & snowflake

lost and found

Rescued        February 2010

Adopted         May 2010

Lost! That single word describes how Sky and Snowflake came to Arizona Golden Retriever Connection. Sky and Snowflake were found by a Good Samaritan running the streets. The Good Samaritan tried and tried and tried to find Sky and Snowflake’s family but no one seemed to be looking for them.

Found! That single word describes Sky and Snowflake’s new life. Now the search was to find a foster family willing to take on not one but two dogs. They were probably 18 months old with little to no training. Even though it was February, Christmas came early when Santa (Wayne) and Ms. Claus (Lee) said they would give Sky and Snowflake a place to rest.  Sky and Snowflake were very bonded. Sky was protective of Snowflake whenever another dog was around and Snowflake had a little bit of the wanderlust and would take Sky with her. Fostering them required patience and lots of training.

After several months it was time to find their forever family. Sky and Snowflake made their debut on AZGRC’s website and several families expressed interest.  After the first family meet them, Wayne and Lee realized that they truly loved Sky and Snowflake and wanted to be their forever home.

Today, Sky and Snowflake have a little Cairn Terrier sibling and do a lot of traveling with their family. They truly have found a family to call their own.
