payson

a frisbee and a ball

Resc ued        July 2010

Adopted         October 2010

Payson was a year and half old when his family could no longer afford to take care of him. They contacted Arizona Golden Retriever Connection and Payson a 73 lb. bundle of non-stop energy was picked up and taken to a foster home. Within a month, Payson met what would become his forever family. He arrived at his new home and proceeded to prance around the house, chase the ball in the yard and then he discovered the pool. He would fly through the air and dive into the pool. A Frisbee and a ball become his constant companions.  He would wake his family up in the middle the night just to see if they wanted to play. Payson was a player. Within a week, Payson was a part of the family and they could not believe someone had given him up. He was high energy but not too high energy for his new family. And added bonus was his new family had a cabin, where else but Payson, AZ.  He loved the mountains and deemed himself, “King of the Hill”. In the winter, Payson discovered snow and loved to bury his face in it.

Today Payson is still high energy but no longer feels the need to wake his family up to play because he knows that tomorrow he will get to play with his Frisbee and his ball.
