GOTCHA DAY 2008
On a beautiful November morning, AZGRC families and
friends met at Vista del Camino Park in Scottsdale to
celebrate the joy of owning Golden Retrievers!
A delicious breakfast was prepared and served by Terry
and Al, and Donna organized games for our canine kids.
Everyone enjoyed visiting with friends, sharing their "Golden
Tales", playing with the AZGRC foster puppies, winning
raffle and game prizes, browsing the Golden Boutique,
and just relaxing in the shade.
The canine kids really liked searching through the
haystack for hidden treats, taking walks around the
lake, and "hanging out" with 50 or
so four-legged friends.
These great AZGRC gatherings only happen because of a
very special group of hard working and dedicated
volunteers. Many thanks to Terry, Candy, Al, Onzie,
Bob, Debbie, Pollie, Dan, Audrey, Eileen, Karol, Fran,
Donna, Sue G., Sue J., Brenda, Lisa, Mike, Julie and
Glen. Thanks to all the kids who assisted with the
games, passing out raffle and lucky dog prizes and clean
up.
A special thanks goes to Mike Nash, who put together a
beautiful and moving DVD the pays tribute to all the
wonderful volunteers, fosters, and adoptive families who
have helped AZGRC save over 700 dogs in the past 8
years.
